Ho Hum… Paperwork to be done!

Posted on July 10, 2008. Filed under: Homeschooling in NYC | Tags: , , , |

While the dad took the kids to their appointments today I spent the bulk of the day doing the following:

  • Re-read the Core Knowledge “What Your 3rd Grader Needs to Know” & the K version.
  • Online book shopping. I purchased most of them through Amazon’s used books dealers.
  • Re-re-re-read NYS’s curriculum standards & laughed a bit.
  • Started on The Pop Tart’s IHIP (Individualized Home Instruction Plan) for the new school year. Thank heavens for the homeschool list groups! I really am just cutting & pasting :-O
  • Reorganized our books, shelves, games etc…
  • Stored 2007-2008 school work.
  • Ordered take-out.
  • And decided to bore you with my dribble :-)

Tomorrow we are meeting with our Book Club & then meeting some homeschoolers at a park for a picnic & some fun.

Woohoo!!

hello..just found your blog and am very interested in communicating with you if you have time. we are from MD. and here in Brooklyn thru Feb. for husband’s work. My daughter 7 attended a Core Knowledge school in MD. I am interested in homeschooling her since I am not sure where we will after Feb. and don’t want to put her thru new school etc. Also have a 3 yr. old son. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Hi Wendy,
I’d love to help, email me @ marleygal1@aol.com
