C goofing around on the train!
C had a great trip on Friday with one of the hs groups. We visited the Mt. Vernon Hotel & Museum, a 19th century country getaway for those who worked and lived in the real city below 14th St. The hotel now is towered over by skyscrapers, bridges and trams. [...]

Girl’s Day Out…

Posted on April 24, 2008. Filed under: Homeschooling in NYC | Tags: , , , , |

Today C and I went on a girl’s day out. We went to the Lucille Lortel Theater in Manhattan to see an off Broadway musical about C’s favorite book character, Junie B. Jones. The show stood true to the books about an exuberant 1st grader, written by Barbara Park. I’ve been reading Junie B. books [...]

Friday’s were usually [...]

Posted on April 8, 2008. Filed under: Homeschooling in NYC | Tags: , , , , , , , , , |

Some people can probably manage homeschooling without joining a homeschool group. Maybe those with tons of kids in the neighborhood don’t need these groups since their kids have plenty of kids to play around with. My case is not like that. There are just a few kids on the block and most can’t come out [...]
